Tim vs Aging – Day 53 – A Week Remaining, plus New Supplement Sea Buckthorn

Time flies when you are having fun. Some of the project seems to have dragged, but I’m actually a bit surprised that I am this close to finishing. I think I have made a good start of it, and Phase II of Tim vs. Aging will rise substantially in its sophistication.

Sea Buckthorn has been used medicinally for centuries. But ancient doctors did not know about stem cells.

One of the new supplements I will add in Phase II is Sea Buckthorn (SB). This has been shown to produce a substantial increase in stem cells in humans within a couple of hours of taking it.

Since it has been said that resveratrol interferes with the benefits exercise, and many experts do not take it on exercise days, I think I will use the SB on exercise days and resveratrol on non-exercise days. I believe that since exercise essentially damages cells causing them to need replacement (and thus strengthening), the increase in stem cells will assist in building them back much faster, and perhaps allow me to recover more quickly. An alternative is something called “stem-kine” which appears to have similar effects, but I want to use only one, so SB is the choice.

SB is a very old remedy for a number of ailments, some of them are outlined in this article.

As I have mentioned before, there is a tendency for writers to include rumored benefits with scientifically verified benefits. The stem cell action is what I am looking for.

I am still designing Phase II, and much of it will depend on my evaluation of all of the Phase I methods. I’ll publish Phase II soon.
