Only two days left. Did my HBOT at about 2 am, because I had to get up early to travel to an event. I find that I need some time after the HBOT because I am always tired coming out. Usually, I pig out when I am driving a long time, but I managed to last the morning and 250 miles on the road on a soda and a bag of beef jerky (only 220 calories).
There are a lot of crazy ideas out there, and some of them, once you dig a bit deeper, are backed up by real scientific data.
One of the methods used by anti-aging aficionados is the combination of sauna and ice baths. Apparently, there are a lot of benefits including “Increase Net Resilience, Mitochondrial Biogenesis, Mood and Longevity” as is in the title of the video. Another video was claiming that a cold bath immitates hibernation to some extent and affects something in the brain related to (and possibly improving) Alzheimer’s disease.
Note that this is NOT something that is part of the Tim vs. Aging Project. To me, life is too short to take ice baths, I just won’t do it.
