Today is a fasting day, since last night have only consumed my supplements and the 135 calories from the eggnog (version 2.0, much better). All project components more or less on schedule.
I had my first Covid vaccine shot today. Didn’t even have to get out of my car to get it. Other people in my office have reported great pain in the arm associated with the shot. But I only feel a bruised feeling in my arm, not anything to bother me. We will see if that lasts over the next day.
Let’s talk a bit about Creatine. You may have heard about this in connection with weight lifters and professional athletes. Trisha has used it in preparation for fights.
But what is it? It is dangerous? What does it do?
I have not used creatine just yet, but my discussions with people (3 people so far) indicate that it does indeed assist in building muscle. In addition to Trisha’s endorsement (and the tacit endorsement of the MMA community), a contact indicated that he could add 5-10% to his body weight in 30 days with a combination of heavy workouts and creatine.
Bottom line, it is safe (studied for more than 40 years) and provides more energy in your cells and helps with recovery. The video below answers these questions much better than I can, so spend the 8 minutes watching it. There are tons of other videos as well.
Creatine is not part of my aging project at this point. I may give it an experiment after I’ve achieved a better weight.
And of course, when I start training for my much-anticipated fight with Arlovsky, I will certainly use it!
