Fasting is always a bit strange, because I have those habits that are tough to get past. But other than the occasional cravings, I have the tendency to want to get it over with as fast as possible (and yet I never get to bed early…). Surprisingly, this is the not toughest part of the week.
But I’m thinking at this point that fasting is a key part of the project. It provides me with a boost to the weight loss aspect of the project, and covers one of the most proven forms of anti-aging, caloric restriction, which activates a great many beneficial processes in the body. If I recommend anything to others, the fast will probably need to be part of it.
As an added bonus, how about this article of five factors of fitness that mean longer life? Apparently, there is a strong correlation between these physical attributes and capabilities and living longer and healthier. And most importantly, you can measure them and improve them!
I don’t want to steal the thunder from the article, it is good and it is entertaining Enjoy!

But this is old wisdom I think. We have always seen older folks as healthy if they are strong and vital, and are always shocked if they die without withering first. So the point is – why wither before you have to? If you are capable of not withering then you should work at it and stay healthy.
